In spring 2008, DMJ LA PERLA was presented for Studbook registration and mare performance test purposes in Filsum in the northwest of Germany. At her Studbook registration, the judges awarded outstanding scores for her exterior and six times scores of 8 and two times 9 for trot, impulsion and elasticity. Her perfect presentation was crowned by the fantastic overall score of 8. 

At the succeeding mare performance test, DMJ LA PERLA scored 8 for rideability. She also competed at the Mare Show in Dötlingen were she ranked fourth among 41 competitors in total in the division of 4-year-old mares.  

DMJ LA PERLA's dam, state premium mare BYZANTINA, is a direct half sister of the licensed stallion KAFKA. SPM BYZANTINA’s accomplishments are simply amazing, not only because of her son, Celle State Stud Stallion DANNEBROG (also bred by DMJ HORSES), but also because her offspring SPM LONDY’s PRINCESS, SPM LOVELY KISS and DMJ DIVA DANNEBROG, who all were awarded "Champion Mares of the Show". 

The maternal bloodline goes back to the famous dam line of the mare KASSETTE and has it’s origin in the Main Trakehnen State Stud. Important premium stallions like KARON (sire of CAPRIMOND), KOSTOLANY (victorious and highly-placed at advanced level dressage competitions and sire of GRIBALDI), K2 (Champion stallion of the Trakehnen Stallion Licensing in 2001) and DON KENNEDY (Champion stallion of the Oldenburg Stallion Licensing in 2003) descend from this line.
