SOLIERE becomes Vice Federal Champion

The six-year-old Hanoverian stallion SOLIERE by Sandro Hit out of the sister of our state premium mare WOITANA II presented brilliant performances under his constant rider Eva Möller in the two dressage tests at the Federal Championships in Warendorf.

In the qualifier, SOLIERE scored 8 for his ground-covering, elastic trot, 8.5 for his outstanding walk and 9 for his gorgeous, uphill going canter. He also earned a 9 for his suppleness and another 9 for overall impression. This resulted in a final score of 8.7 and led to the first place in the qualifier.

In the Final, the licensed and performance tested black stallion SOLIERE presented himself in the best light possible under his pleasing and experienced rider Eva Möller. His expressive canter and the incredible rideability of the stallion are hard to top. SOLIERE scored 8.4 in the Final, resulting in the second place and the desired silver medal. Congratulations to these fantastic successes!

At the World Championships in Verden, SOLIERE was only just beaten by a Don Schufro-daughter. By the way: Don Schufro was either sire or grandsire of five of the six group-winners in the classes for six-year-old horses! Don Schufro x SOLIERE’s dam line (a combination of the two first placed) is represented in our homebred DMJ DEBUSSY. Read more about him here…..

The same happened in Warendorf at the Federal Championships. SOLIERE was only just beaten once by an expressive Belissimo M-offspring (as already mentioned above, SOLIERE won the qualifying final). Our noble filly out of WOITANA II also combines Belissimo M x SOLIERE’s dam line in her pedigree. See the photos and read more about DMJ BELLISSIMA here…

SOLIERE Wins the Silver Medal at the World Championships in Verden

The six-year-old stallion SOLIÈRE by Sandro Hit, an appealing offspring out of the sister of our state premium mare WOITANA II competed at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Verden. The experienced rider Eva Möller (GER) presented the stallion who descends from the successful Fidermark-foundation stock. SOLIÈRE is owned by the successful music producer Paul van Dyk.

The judges rewarded the performances of the impressive black stallion with a final mark of 9.12, which resulted in the second place. SOLIÈRE convinced with his rhythm and impulsion. He was the last competitor in the Final, and with a final score of 8.66, he again occupied the fantastic second place and won the silver medal. Eva Möller accomplished the exercises with the gorgeous stallion in a well-balanced pace. „An elastic trot with an excellent uphill going tendency, a powerful walk and a safe canter in all paces display SOLIÈRE’s fantastic potential,“ was the judges’ statement in the Final.

The career of the still very young stallion is impressive. He already won the qualifier and the Final of the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses at the age of four. At the age of four and five, he placed fifth in the Final of the prestigious Federal Championships. As already mentioned above, he now won the Vice World Champion-title at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses in Verden and qualified, now six years old, for the forthcoming Federal Championships in Warendorf. We keep our fingers crossed for SOLIERE and his constant rider Eva Möller.

Louisa Lüttgen and DREAMY placed in Krefeld

After a long break Louisa Lüttgen (GER) and the 10-year-old Donnerhall-mare DREAMY (by Wedgewood Lady) out of breeding program were placed third in the Prix St. Georges at the dressage show in Krefeld, Germany.

A Great Moment - First Mare In-foal to DANNEBROG

Today, our home-bred Oldenburg Premium Mare DMJ CHERRY (by Blue Hors Cavan out of WEDGEWOOD LADY) has been checked in-foal to Celle State Stud Stallion DANNEBROG (by Don Schufro out of State Premium Mare BYZANTINA). DANNEBROG is also out of our own breeding program.

It is of course a great moment for a breeder to combine two home-bred horses. My thoughts go back to the day when I assisted in bringing the two foals into the world, combined with all the associated moments of pleasure and delight and all the happy events.

The next 11 months will be full of excitement and anticipation, and I am gratefully looking forward to this – for me – matchless bloodline combination. I can only hope that next spring a healthy foal will be born.

Scheduled date of birth: April 6, 2011.

DMJ LAS VEGAS Is On the Way to Russia

Today our homebred, very promising 2-year-old stallion prospect, DMJ LAS VEGAS, by Lauries Crusador xx out of our excellently moving premium mare DMJ CHERRY by Blue Hors Cavan has left to Russia. DMJ LAS VEGAS has been sold to Russia and in the future he will be based near Saint Petersburg.

DMJ BONIFATIA Does Not Live Anymore

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that we had to say goodbye to our lively and dynamic, very promising filly DMJ BONIFATIA by Bonifatius out of our Premium Mare DMJ CHERRY by Blue Hors Cavan.

DMJ BONIFATIA suffered a complicated knee fracture of the left hind leg. Various X-rays and diagnostic work-ups with German vets and special horse clinics disclosed the awkward situation very quickly so that finally, we had to come to the difficult decision to put DMJ BONIFATIA down.

We are left behind with all the memories, full of sorrow and grief about the loss of this unbelievable, heart-touching foal. And we hope that her dam will give us such another brilliant filly some time in the future as up to now, the successor of this top-class performance dam line has not yet been found.

No need to say that it is hard to believe how much we miss DMJ BONIFATIA! See the last photos of her here…

Newborn Very Elegant Fidermark-Cousin by Belissimo M

A mare’s birth is always something special, and it was no secret that we would be especially happy about a filly out of this valuable bloodline combination.

Therefore, we were really pleased that on April 25, our State Premium Mare WOITANA II (the sister of Fidermark's dam) gave birth to her foal. It is extremely noble, 105 cm tall and very elegant filly by Belissimo M.

In the following days more photos of the filly will be available under DMJ BELLISSIMA.

Brilliant Filly by Bonifatius x Blue Hors Cavan

Early this morning our very well mowing premium mare DMJ CHERRY gave birth to an impressive, 108 cm tall, dark brown filly by the Celle State Stud Stallion and Champion of his stallion performance test in 2009 BONIFATIUS (by Belissimo M x Lauries Crusador xx).

The dam, premium mare DMJ CHERRY, is one of the very few offspring by the successful Grand Prix stallion Blue Hors Cavan (by Cavalier x Damnatz). Please find more information and videos about CHERRY and her dam line here…

Prima Ballerina with an Unique Dressage Pedigree

Tonight, our highly awarded state premium mare BEAUTY BOLERA by the outstanding Bolero gave birth to an amazing dark brown, 102 cm tall filly by the victorious Grand Prix stallion BLUE HORS DON SCHUFRO.

The grand dam of the foal is sister to the famous Grand Prix dressage horse WESERPERLE S who won the gold medal at the European Championships in Hickstead under Ellen Schulten-Baumer (GER).

We are grateful that the birth went well and that the foal is developing so wonderfully. Photos of the top foal are available under DMJ DONNA ELENA.

The Celle National State Stud Highlights DMJ DANNEBROG

The Celle National State Stud presented our home-bred DMJ DANNEBROG in their yearly "Golden Book of the Celle stallions" with an extraordinary thorough coverage. DANNEBROG was licensed in Verden in the autumn of 2009, and was hereafter sold to The Celle National State Stud. Beneath is Celle’s description of the stallion:

DANNEBROG - The super type with a solid pedigree

DANNEBROG’s father Don Schufro has for many years been at the very top of the German breeding list for dressage stallions. This largely framed stallion, who is stationed at the Blue Hors Stud in Denmark, graduated as a superior winner in the dressage performance test in Adelheidsdorf with a total of 154.93 points. The mare line of this stallion is also highly approved due to the very close relationship with Don Primero and Sunnyboy. Don Schufro’s pedigree ends in an old Vornholz mare line.

DANNEBROG’s mother is by Brentano II. This stallion has clearly left his mark on DANNEBROG due to exterior and outward appearance. Brentano II was Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2003 and has in addition to Weltmeyer and Londonderry made a significant impression with base at the insemination centre in Ankum. Above all Brentano II leaves an apparent mark on the mare side according to expression and exterior. As a base for this mare line lie the well acknowledged Kassette-family from the Main Stud Trakehnen. Out of numerous competition horses and highly approved mares, the most famous offspring of this mare line is probably Kostelany. This stallion was awarded the title Trakehner Stallion of the Year 2009 and is among others father to Gribaldi and grandfather to Tortilas, who is the word of mouth these days. But also Karon, the Trakehner Champion Stallion K2 and Oldenburg Stallion of the Year 2003, Don Kennedy, have their roots in this dam line.
